About the Hidden Champion Award:
The Hidden Champions are awarded for the ninth time and are the most popular quality seal in Germany for consulting companies. The study is based on a detailed survey of executives from large and medium-sized companies, as well as the public sector. The goal is to identify highly specialized consulting companies that possess outstanding expertise in their field and are rated by their clients as equal or superior to the established consulting firms McKinsey, BCG, and Bain.
The criteria for a Hidden Champion:
Unaided awareness: In the top management of German companies with an annual turnover of over 1 billion euros, the unaided awareness of a Hidden Champion must not exceed 15%.
Activity in the same market: The proportion of customers of a Hidden Champion who also collaborate with one or more of the three champions (McKinsey, BCG, or Bain) must be at least 50%.
Proof of competence: The competence of a Hidden Champion must be rated higher in the top management of German companies with an annual turnover of at least 500 million euros in at least one consulting area or industry than that of McKinsey, BCG, and Bain.
